TEHRAN (PEDCO) - The project manager for Mansourabad Oil Field has announced the successful running of the completion string and installation of the wellhead for Well 22 at a depth of 2,825 meters.
Mehdi Sadeghian, the project manager for Mansourabad, stated: "In the Year of Production Leap, with the participation of the public, the drilling of Well 22 at Mansourabad was completed successfully with the installation of the completion string and wellhead at a depth of 2,825 meters.
"
He added: "This operation was completed with the support of the acting CEO of Petroiran Development Company (PEDCO), the board of directors, the project client, and the continuous efforts of the Mansourabad project team, especially the subsurface team.
Despite operational and executive complexities, timely technical decisions were made, leading to the successful completion of the project.
Rig 202 of the Exploration Operations Company was released from site 025 on April 1."
Sadeghian emphasized that the well completion operation was successfully carried out according to schedule and without any operational delays by PEDCO, even during the Nowruz holidays and despite additional tasks assigned by the client.
It is noteworthy that the Mansourabad oil field is located in Khuzestan province, 10 kilometers northeast of Behbahan.
This field was discovered in 2001 by the Exploration Department of the National Iranian Oil Company.
Production from the Asmari reservoir at Mansourabad began in 2007, and production from the Bangestan reservoir started in 2015.
Currently, the field has an average crude oil production capacity of 10,000 barrels per day. With the execution of this project, production is expected to increase to 25,500 barrels per day.
The Mansourabad oil field, with an estimated oil-in-place of 3.7 billion barrels, is managed by the National Iranian South Oil Company, with production operations carried out by the Gachsaran Oil and Gas Production Company.
