Date:5/20/2024

TEHRAN (PEDCO) - Alireza Sadeghi Abdollahi, Hamidreza Saghafi, Ali Saleh Nia, and Nima Baqersaei have jointly expressed their deepest condolences to the people of Iran, colleagues in the oil industry, and especially to the employees of the PetroIran Development Group (PEDCO) following the tragic martyrdom of President Ayatollah Raisi and his companions.

The executives of PetroIran Development Group issued a joint statement mourning the loss of Ayatollah Raisi and his entourage.

The message read: “The news of the martyrdom of Seyyed Ebrahim Raisi, the honorable President, Hossein Amirabdollahian, the Foreign Minister, Seyyed Mohammadali Al-Hashem, the Friday Prayer Leader of Tabriz, Malek Rahmati, the Governor of East Azerbaijan, and their accompanying delegation in a helicopter crash has deeply grieved the hearts of the Iranian nation and plunged everyone into profound sorrow and shock.

The pure souls of the martyrs embraced the sacred spirit of the servant of Reza, the servant of the Islamic Republic of Iran, the dedicated and popular President, and his companions.

Years of sincere efforts in various fields of service ultimately led Hojjat al-Islam Raisi to this exalted position. The news of the martyrdom of this revolutionary and devoted President, who rendered invaluable services to the Iranian people throughout his tenure, in a helicopter crash has caused immense grief and distress.

Undoubtedly, their martyrdom is the reward for their relentless efforts over all these years, and with divine grace, their path of service will continue.

We extend our heartfelt condolences on the martyrdom of these devoted individuals to the holy presence of Imam Mahdi (may our souls be sacrificed for him), Imam Ali Ibn Musa al-Reza (peace be upon him), the Supreme Leader, the Iranian nation, the esteemed colleagues in the oil industry, and particularly the employees of the PetroIran Development Group.

We pray for the patience of the noble Iranian nation and hope that the spirits of these departed dear ones find eternal peace.”
