TEHRAN (PEDCO) – Petroiran Development Company Limited (PEDCO) has entered into a contract with the National Iranian South Oil Company (NISOC) to maintain and enhance productivity of Mansourabad oil field project
The contract was signed in the form of an integrated package of an operation-oriented plan to increase and maintain oil production of 28 selected reservoirs operated by NISOC.
The contract was awarded to PEDCO during a licensing round, and entails engineering services, purchase and procurement of items, construction and installation, drilling and completion of 12 new wells and commissioning 3 land separation complexes and oil compressors along with oil and gas transmission pipelines.
Mansourabad oil field is located 10 km northeast of Behbahan city, Khuzestan province, southwestern Iran.
It was discovered in 2001 by the Exploration Department of the National Iranian Oil Company.
Today, the field’s production capacity is 10,000 b/d which is planned to reach 2.5.5 b/d by implementation of this project.
Mansourabad oil field is estimated to have 3.7 billion barrels of crude oil in-place and is one of fields operated by NISOC.
