TEHRAN (PEDCO) – Petroiran Development Company Limited (PEDCO) and Amirkabir University of Technology have signed a new contract for the development of technical knowledge for the production of fluid for completion of oil and gas wells.
The document was signed by Hossein Hosseini Todeshki, Vice Chancellor for Research and Technology of Amirkabir University of Technology, and Sepehr Sepehri, CEO of PEDCO.
At the signing ceremony of the contract, Mr. Sepehri, while introducing his company as a capable contractor, voiced PEDCO’s keenness to bolster ties with local universities as well as knowledge-based companies.
He added: "The signing of this contract can be the beginning of a wider cooperation between PEDCO and Amirkabir University for maximum presence in the labor market."
For his part, the Vice Chancellor for Research and Technology of Amirkabir University outlined the research and industrial activities of Amirkabir University, and said: "This University is ready for any cooperation by creating reliable infrastructures such as creating a technology tower and supporting more than 200 knowledge-based companies."
Calcium bromide is currently used as a well completion fluid, which is mainly supplied from abroad, and by implementing the above project, and localization of an alternative for the fluid, millions of dollars of hard currency would be prevented from exiting the country.
