History

Petroiran Development Company was established as a general contractor in 1996 for the purpose of operating development of oil and gas fields. Upon a decision adopted by National Iranian Oil Company in 2003, all shares of PEDCO were transferred to Naftiran Intertrade Company. In 2016, PEDCO was approved by the Iranian Ministry of Petroleum as a qualified E&P company to join partnership with international oil firms in developing oil and gas projects.

  • Start of Extra Oil Production from Salman Field

  • Commissioning of Salman Project

  • Purchasing First Offshore Drilling Rig (DCI-1)
  • Start of Drilling Operation by DCI-1 Rig at SP-Phase 20 Project

  • - Start of a research project with Amirkabir University of Technology
    - Using multiphase pumps in the National Iranian South Oil Company (NISOC)
    - Beginning of the construction of wellhead facilities and pipelines of 8 wells in Kabud Field
  • - Beginning of the maintenance and production enhancement plan of Mansour Abad Oil Field
    - Start of the implementation of the comprehensive study plan of Sarvestan and Saadat Abad fields
    - Start of the implementation of Binak Oil Field Development Project
  • - Beginning of the study and engineering project of Toos Gas Field Project by PISOK
    - Localization of heavy completion fluid production technology for oil and gas wells. Conducting final negotiations on the conclusion of the Soosangerd oil field development contract
    - Signing of the Memorandum of Understanding on Azadegan Oil Field studies in the central part
  • - Start of negotiations for the development contract of Aghar, Dey fields and Farashband gas refinery
    - Formation of a business unit for the development of deepwater resources
    - Development of cooperation for the establishment of "Innovation and Technology Center"
    - Development of activities in the field of geophysical and geological exploration services
  • - Initiating the project to drill 9 infill wells aimed at sustaining production levels in the South Pars gas field
