SHANGHAI (PEDCO) -- Mansour Mehrshad, the head of PetroIran Development Company, emphasized the significance of participating in the 6th China International Import Expo (CIIE) as a valuable opportunity for Iranian firms to engage in negotiations and agreements with their customers and stakeholders.
Mansour Mehrshad, while attending the CIIE, expressed, "This expo is the largest trade fair in China, with over 50 Iranian companies participating. It's the best event for Iranian companies to negotiate with their counterparts, reach agreements, and sign contracts.
"
Mehrshad and other senior executives of the Petro Development Company were present at the expo to explore business prospects.
The CIIE, which has been held annually in Shanghai since 2018, is the world's first national-level expo focused on imports.
This expo is jointly hosted by China's Ministry of Commerce and the local government of Shanghai. Its partners include the World Trade Organization, the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development, and the United Nations Industrial Development Organization.
The primary goal of the CIIE is to introduce China's domestic market to foreign companies and boost domestic consumption.
The expo serves as a platform for win-win cooperation between countries, both rich and poor, and facilitates close discussions between companies and experts to discover potential business partners.
The 6th China International Import Expo (CIIE 2023) will take place from November 5 to November 10, 2023, in Shanghai. The expo comprises four sections: National Pavilions, Business Pavilions, International Economic Sections, and Cultural Exchange Activities.
Representatives from 145 countries, regions, and international organizations are participating in this event.
More than 3,400 exhibitors and 394,000 professional visitors have registered for the expo.
It is worth mentioning that Petro Iran, in collaboration with the National Iranian Oil Company, has an exhibition booth in the Islamic Republic Pavilion, spanning 200 square meters, where they are hosting many Chinese officials, businessmen, and other visitors.
The participation of Iranian companies in CIIE demonstrates the potential for fruitful collaborations and business opportunities.
