TEHRAN (PetroIran) – The CEO of Petro-Iran Development Company visited the 13th Nano Technology Exhibition (Iran Nano 1401) at the permanent location of Tehran International Exhibitions and announced his support for innovative companies and knowledge-based technology.
Sepehr Sepehri attended the showcase on Tuesday while talking to Ruhollah Dehghani Firouzabadi, caretaker of the Presidential Office of Science and Technology, and stated: “Right now, the country can benefit from the capabilities and achievements of knowledge-based companies in all sectors, especially in the field of oil, gas and petrochemical industry, and Petro-Iran is ready to join innovative and technological companies, to sort out one of the serious concerns of the Supreme Leader regarding the use of knowledge-based companies in the field of oil industry.”
He added: "Petro-Iran, due to its history in implementation of large-scale projects in the country, can operate and invest in technological fields and use existing capacities in knowledge-based companies, and in this regard, it seeks to create an "Innovation Center" to be able to complete large-scale projects in the oil and energy industry with the help of competent and knowledge-based companies.”
The CEO of Petro-Iran Development Company also said in a meeting with the director of the Oil and Gas Working Group of the Nano Technology Headquarters of the Presidential Office of Science and Technology and the members of the Technology Exchange Network: Petro-Iran Development Company has supported innovative and knowledge-based companies and activities in recent years.”
Sepehri further underlined the importance of the position of nano technology in the activities of oil industry, the challenges of technology and innovation and the lack of awareness of many manufacturers and companies about the aim of commercializing nano, and said: “It is necessary to introduce technological solutions to identify and fit the demands of industrial complexes so that they are supported materially and morally by the government agencies and large companies of the country. In this regard, supporting the development of Petro-Iran for knowledge-based companies in projects in the form of first-time production approvals, helping the growth and development of knowledge-based companies by creating an innovation center, and helping to export technical and engineering services and knowledge-based services using the international capacities of Petro-Iran Development Company are being pursued with a very high priority.”
He then visited the achievements and products of companies active in the field of nanotechnology.
The 13th nanotechnology exhibition was held from October 1 to 4 at Tehran international fairground with the aim of creating interaction between various players in the development of nanotechnology. The event is held with 160 manufacturing companies and nanotechnology service providers.
