TEHRAN (PETROIRAN) -- Drilling operation for the development of Mansourabad Oilfield entered the executive phase with the installation of the drilling rig in its position.
The drilling operation for the development of Mansourabad Oilfield entered the implementation stage as one of the contract packages for the development plan of 28 reservoirs ordered by the National Iranian South Oil Company (NISOC).
In this project, engineering services, purchase and supply of goods, construction and installation, drilling operations and completion of 12 new wells and construction of 3 ground-level separation and oil pressure boosting stations along with oil and gas transmission pipelines are on the agenda.
The contract for the Mansourabad oil field development project is in the form of an integrated package of an operation-oriented plan to maintain and enhance productivity of 28 selected oil reservoirs operated by the NISOC, which has been assigned to Petroiran Development Company.
It is worth mentioning that Mansourabad oil field is located in Khuzestan Province, southwestern Iran, 10 km northeast of Behbahan County. This field was discovered in 2001 by the Exploration Department of the National Iranian Oil Company.
Production from Asmari reservoir of Mansourabad field started in 2007 and Bangestan reservoir of this field started in 2015.At present, its crude oil production capacity is 10,000 barrels per day on average, which, according to the plans made with the implementation of this oil production project, will increase to 25,500 barrels per day.
Mansourabad Oilfield, with 3.7 billion barrels of in-situ crude oil reserves, is one of the fields operated by Gachsaran Oil and Gas Production Company, a subsidiary of NISOC.
