TEHRAN (PEDCO) The CEO of Petro Sahel Ofogh Kish Company (PESOK) said his company had won a licensing round for carrying out comprehensive studies on Sarvestan and Saadatabad fields.
Given that PESOK has been shortlisted as one of the companies whose credentials have been approved by the National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC) as a consulting engineering firm to carry out comprehensive studies on oil and gas fields, and it was allowed to participate in the licensing round which was arranged by the Iranian Central Oil Fields Company.
The tender entailed studies on 6 oil and gas fields, Nima Baghersaei said.
The CEO of PESOK stated that the main purpose of this project was to review various reservoir development plans and conduct economic feasibility studies, reservoir production optimization and reservoir management, considering enhanced oil recovery (EOR) and improved oil recovery (IOR) scenarios.
He said this project would be carried out in 18 months, and PESOK would be in charge of engineering and supervising the comprehensive studies of Saadatabad and Sarvestan fields; in parallel with the studies, early return studies would also be conducted for six months.
Sarvestan oil field is located 110 km southeast of Shiraz, southern Iran, and Saadatabad oil field is located 20 km north of Sarvestan field; in 1973, the first well of these fields was spudded and the existence of hydrocarbons in Ilam and Sarvak formations were proved.
So far 6 wells have been drilled in Sarvestan and 8 wells in Saadatabad fields and the oil is transferred to Shiraz Refinery via a 10-inch pipeline.
