KISH ISLAND (PEDCO) -- The Petro Sahel Ofogh Kish Co. (PESOK) has achieved the successful completion of the surface development project of the Kabood oil field.
This milestone was celebrated during a gathering of senior figures from the oil industry and regional authorities.
The Kabood field's surface development project was integrated into the comprehensive plan for the "Production Enhancement and Maintenance of 28 Reservoirs," led by the National Iranian South Oil Company (NISOC).
As part of this initiative, five new wells were commissioned, marking a significant step toward increasing the country's oil production capacity.
These wells are expected to contribute significantly to Iran's national energy production goals.
PESOK, a subsidiary of PetroIran Development Company, together with Pars Energy Gostar Drilling and Exploration Company (PEDEX) were responsible for constructing the wellhead facilities, flowlines, and manifold systems for the Kabood project.
The company executed the project successfully, demonstrating its capability in the oil and energy sector.
Nima Baqersayi, CEO of PESOK, emphasized the importance of achieving project objectives, especially during a time of sanctions.
He highlighted the significance of optimizing local resources, using the capabilities of the local workforce, and ensuring social responsibility through job creation. Baqersayi underscored the alignment of these efforts with the directives of the esteemed leadership of Iran.
The Kabood field, located in the northern part of Khuzestan province, has been a valuable asset to Iran's oil industry.
With its surface development project now successfully completed, the field is poised to play a pivotal role in the nation's energy production, contributing to its energy security and fulfilling its global commitments.
