TEHRAN (PetroIran) – Drilling Company International (DCI) has completed drilling the 10th well of Sirri-Civand Oil Field, According to DCI public relations the DCI CEO Dr. Hamidreza saghafi stated: “The drilling of 10 wells in the Siri field at Nasr-5, Nasr-6, Ilam-1, and Ilam-3 platforms has been made possible with the support of the Iran Offshore Oil Company (IOOC) and the round-the-clock efforts of DCI teams.
Implementation of the Esfand and Civand fields projects was very difficult and complicated due to the geological complexities and many drilling and operational problems, as well as the existence of old platforms, which made full use of the capacities of these fields not possible in the past due.
DCI as the contractor of the Siri project, Considered the risk analysis and planning to execute Sirri Project with the use of two owned drilling rigs; DCI-1 and DCI-2, and a rented drilling rig: WT-2, by relying on the knowledge and management ability, engineering staff and drilling operations, as well as using the maximum capacity of domestic companies to provide goods and technical services to implement the Siri project.
In the end, Dr. Hamidreza Saghafi CEO of DCI mentioned “By completing the 10th well of the Sirri-Civand oil field 100% of production and injection commitment been accomplished (taking into account the extra work) which had been achieved by reaching about 90%
physical progress and allocation of limited financial resources that was about 40%.
